Sugar Poppo

Sugar Poppo transforms semi-porcelain into miniature fairy-tale landscapes. After building her own kiln in Wakayama in 2021, she has perfected a balance of precise animal realism and whimsical charm.

Her acorn-crowned squirrel cups, bird-perched saucers and cat-peeking plates capture fleeting moments of woodland playfulness. With fine underglaze detailing and soft, glowing glazes, each form feels alive— an invitation to suspend time.

In "little walk on the table," Sugar Poppo' s pieces act as playful waymarkers: the squirrel cup beckons you onward, while the flower-rimmed feline plate becomes a cheerful rest stop. Their narrative gestures transform dining into a gentle stroll through a sylvan dream, encouraging users to reconnect with childlike wonder during every meal.
