Kei Kawachi 河内啓
Kei Kawachi
Born in 1967 in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
In 1991, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Nihon University and started working at TKC Corporation.
In 1999, he graduated from the Aichi Prefectural Ceramic High Technical School and later worked at a ceramic factory in Toki City.
In 2002, he established a kiln in Tsurusato Town, Toki City, Gifu Prefecture.
In 2012, he received the Special Jury Award at the Banko Ware Competition.
The works of Kei Kawachi are born from his love for and contemplation of nature and forests.
This series reminds me of the beautiful birch forests.
