hanamame (三浦潤 、三浦孝之)

Takayuki Miura and Jun Miura, husband and wife, both from Sapporo, Hokkaido. Began making artwork in 2009. Participated in Kishimojin handcraft market in Tokyo from 2011-2013.

Since then, they have become well known and received many exhibitions invitation from galleries around the world. Yochi Cups was the first gallery holding Takayuki Miura and Jun Miura exhibition in entire North America.

Woodworking (Takayuki Miura):
Primarily use greenwood, being amazed by the vitality of freshly split logs for firewood. Embrace natural distortions in greenwood during drying process.
Representative works include collaborations with pottery and wooden mugs.

Ceramics (Jun Miura):
Emphasize the gentleness of hand-formed sculptures and comforting illustrations and textiles. All illustrations are hand-drawn. Collaborative pieces with wood highlight the synergy achievable as a couple.
