Sori Yanagi 柳宗理

Sōri Yanagi (柳 宗理, 1915–2011) was born as a son of the Japanese Folk Crafts Museum founder, Soetsu Yanagi. Having the background of studying both art and architecture in school, he pioneered Japanese postwar industrial design. The designer’s focus was to always create long-life products that people finds timelessly useful in everyday life. His philosophy and passion towards design in his work have been appreciated around the world.Sori Yanagi's designs have received numerous accolades throughout the years with many still in production today
